Bluehost Replaces Fantastico with SimpleScripts
7 September 2009Bluehost no longer supports Fantastico updates and has essentially replaced it with SimpleScripts. I’ve used Bluehost for several years and installed WordPress with Fantastico. But now Bluehost seems to have replaced it with SimpleScripts, supposedly because it’s better. When I contacted Bluehost and told them I preferred using Fantastico, and would wait for an update from it, they essentially told me “you’ll be waiting a very long time.”
Why has Bluehost decided to go with SimpleScripts and abandon updates via Fantastico? It makes one wonder what monetary reward they’re getting from SimpleScripts by changing over. They certainly aren’t thinking about their customers by forcing them to change to SimpleScripts.
